Welcome to Narnia Cessnock

In the lower Hunter Valley, with views of the Brokenback Range, on Wonnarua country

Nestled in the heart of the Hunter Valley, our program offers a Christian early childhood environment, coupled with an outstanding Kindergarten readiness program that only a multi-school group can provide.

At Narnia, we aim to provide an environment where all children can learn and feel confident in themselves as learners. We believe that all children have something to offer and that each one is of great value.

Our Prep program follows both the Early Year Learning Framework and the Australian Curriculum and is presented as a progression of learning making for a seamless transition into school.

Our Early Learning Centre for children aged 0-4 years is still to be built. It will be situated on site at St Philip’s Christian College, Cessnock and will add to the continuity of learning experiences for young children as well as offering the very best in love, care and support for our precious little ones. We will keep you posted on progress.

We hope that you will join us on the early learning journey here at Narnia Cessnock and we look forward to meeting you.

Meet our Director

Karl Reyes

I am excited to be working at Narnia Early Learning and being part of a community that shares my passion for faith, family, and the importance of the early years.

Over the past decade, I have had the privilege of leading and supporting early childhood teams in a variety of roles, most recently as Centre Director of a large service in the Hunter region. What I have learned throughout that time is that great centres are built on great relationships between children, families, educators, and the wider community.

As a husband, father, and foster parent, I understand the trust families place in us when they choose an early learning service. It is a responsibility I never take lightly. My faith guides both my personal life and leadership, and I am passionate about creating environments where children are known, valued, and encouraged to reach their God-given potential.

I believe strong leadership is about serving others, building capable teams, and creating a culture where people feel supported, connected, and inspired to do their best work. I value open communication, authenticity, and a genuine sense of community, and I look forward to partnering with families and educators to continue building a centre where children can learn, grow, and flourish.

I am grateful for the opportunity to join the Narnia family and look forward to meeting you all in the coming weeks.
