Spring Fair 2026
The St Philip’s Christian College Spring Fair has become one of The Hunter Vallley's largest events and a highlight of our College calendar. It has brought families, alumni, staff, students, and the wider community together in a way that celebrates who we are and what we value. We are deeply grateful for the energy, generosity and goodwill that has made it such a success.
After careful consideration, we have decided to pause Spring Fair this year as we take time to review the annual rhythm and future direction of this event.
This decision has not been made lightly. Large-scale community events require significant planning, coordination, and staffing. We are increasingly mindful of staff workload and wellbeing, as well as our obligations around events held outside normal operational hours. Ensuring we act responsibly and within appropriate frameworks is important.
In light of this, we are currently considering moving to a bi-annual cycle for Spring Fair, alternating with a College Colour Run in the intervening year. This model would allow us to preserve the energy and impact of Spring Fair while ensuring sustainability for staff and volunteers. It would also provide variety in our community engagement events.
It is a pleasure to announce today that our Colour Run will be held at school on Friday, 1 May 2026, during the school day. All students will be able to take part, and families are warmly invited to join us.
Our commitment to community remains unchanged. We will continue to seek meaningful opportunities for families to connect, celebrate and build belonging within the life of the College.
