We are so excited to introduce to you our new Wellbeing Dog for the Waratah Campus - Gracie the Groodle.
Gracie is 16 weeks old and is an absolute delight! Gracie is doing a wonderful job of learning the ropes and is patiently guided by the amazing Jo-Ann Burn.
In this edition of our Principal's Blog we hear about a guest speaker from our Professional Development week - Megan Hunt, a current parent of our Gosford Campus, a teacher and currently doing her PhD research in Autism and Special Education. Megan helped us to make sense of her world and the world of so many of the students that we teach. She is a perfect example of the vital difference that a person with autism can make in the world. Her articulate and intelligent explanation of her now diagnosed ‘disability’, inspired us all to appreciate the unique ability and treasure not only in her, but in every one of our students.
