SPCC Shines at Da Vinci Decathlon

On Tuesday, eight students from the Year Eight Reach class set off for William Tyrell Anglican College, to compete in the annual Da Vinci Decathlon.

Lia, Samuel, Ruby, James, Sara, Bentley, Will and Bodhi were involved in a robust academic competition designed to challenge and stimulate the minds of school students. Students competed in teams of eight across ten disciplines: engineering, mathematics and chess, code breaking, art and poetry, science, English, ideation, creative producers, cartography and legacy.

With excellent teamwork, determination, and a growth mindset, our team came third overall. There were approximately fifteen teams competing in the Year Eight competition, so this is no small achievement. The team also came first in engineering, second in creative producers (drama) and third in art and poetry. Congratulations to this team on their tremendous achievement!
