Which students are eligible?
Dynamic Learning College is for students in Years 3 – 12 who have Anxiety, Depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder. Students/children who attend Dynamic Learning must provide documentary evidence that shows they have a diagnosis meeting the criteria listed below for disability status in the areas of cognitive, mental health and/or Autism. All documentation must be provided so that the suitability of the student can be assessed by taking into account all relevant information.

1. Cognitive (Intellectual) | 1. Full scale score of 75 or less on a standardised and fall within the Mild Intellectual range 2. Assessment of adaptive skills or as detailed on psychologist report 3. Students achievement against curriculum |
2. Mental Health (Social/Emotional) | 1. Diagnosis and description of behaviour that is characteristic of mental health problems as listed in the DSM-V in the area of anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder 2. Description of frequency, duration and intensity of the behaviour in the home, school & community to a level that seriously affects educational functioning and emotional wellbeing 3. Documented evidence of ongoing, individual intervention by a mental health Practioner or school councillor 4. Description of the impact on the student’s education and a list of strategies to address the student’s needs at school THE ENROLMENT DECISION SURROUNDING A STUDENT WITH A DIAGNOSIS OF A BEHAVIOURAL DISORDER, AS WITH ALL DECISIONS, IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE PRINCIPAL AND IS CONSIDERED ON A CASE-BY-CASE BASIS |
3. Autism Spectrum Disorder | 1. Diagnosis and nature of the student’s disorder as listed in DSM-V at level 1 or 2 2. Documented evidence of developmental disability affecting verbal/non-verbal communication and social interaction 3. Functional assessment as detailed on psychologist report 4. Description of the impact on the student’s education and a list of strategies to address the student’s needs at school |
Selection of Students Referral and Enrolment Process
Parents/caregivers and potential students are interviewed by the Head of Campus. The purpose of this meeting is to determine if St Philip's Christian College Dynamic Learning is the best educational fit for the student. The Principal must be confident that the student and parents/caregivers are happy to work closely with Dynamic Learning staff to achieve the best educational outcome for their child.

Students may be referred to St Philip's Christian College Dynamic Learning by their School Counsellor, Home School Liaison Officer or Community Welfare Agency.
