Our 2026 Launch Week of St Philip’s Teaching School began with a sense of momentum and purpose, gathering its newest cohort of 26 trainees into a community shaped by faith, learning, and a shared commitment to Christian education.
Our organisation’s annual theme of Providence framed the week’s reflections, inviting trainees to see their journey into teaching as part of a larger story God is weaving. We’re grateful for the encouragement from passionate Christian educators, including our keynote speaker, Mark Ash (CSA Executive Officer).
Breakout sessions led by experienced educators provided strategies that translate directly into classroom life, expanding trainees’ toolkits with practical techniques, real‑world examples, and adaptable approaches.
What stood out most across the week was the sense of shared mission. Schools, mentors, and partner communities continue to invest in the teaching school because they believe in the transformative impact of well-formed Christian educators. Their support creates the conditions for trainees to flourish.
As the 2026 cohort steps into their placements, Launch Week serves as a reminder that trainees are part of something larger than themselves. They join a growing movement of educators committed to serving with faith, purpose, and excellence, trusting that the God who has called them will continue to guide their steps.
