Snowy Mountains Staff Join the St Philip’s Family at Big Day Out 2026
This week marked a significant and exciting milestone for our Snowy Mountains campus as our staff travelled to Newcastle to meet the wider St Philip’s Christian College family for the very first time.
We were thrilled to take part in Big Day Out 2026, the annual whole‑staff conference that brings together more than 900 team members from across every St Philip’s campus. For our Snowy Mountains team, being part of such a large, vibrant and welcoming event was an inspiring introduction to the culture and community we are now part of.
The day was filled with opportunities to worship together, hear from our CEO, Graeme Irwin, and learn about this year’s College-wide theme, Providence. Guest speaker Max Jeganathan delivered an encouraging message on Hope in Uncertainty and Strength in Suffering, which deeply resonated with us as we begin our journey as a new campus.
Beyond the conference, our staff also engaged in valuable training sessions, toured the Central Office and the Newcastle campus, and connected with many new colleagues from across the organisation. The hospitality, warmth and genuine sense of belonging extended to our team made the experience truly memorable.
Big Day Out has left us excited, encouraged and incredibly grateful to be joining the St Philip’s community. We look forward to all that lies ahead as we prepare to open our doors and begin serving families in the Snowy Mountains region.
