St Philip’s Christian College Gosford will be celebrating 20 years of Christian education in 2027. As part of our celebrations across the year, we will be opening an array of new and exciting facilities in our college!
Our building site is taking shape day by day as it rises above the construction fencing and into view. Within this new space lies wonderful learning facilities we look forward to sharing with our college community.
These include:
• 10 General Learning Areas
• 6 Study Rooms
• Tiered Learning Area (with retractable seating)
• New Gymnasium
• New outdoor basketball court
• New oval
• Café
• Administration and office spaces
• 100 new car parking spaces
The build program started during Term 4 2025, though preparations have been taking place for almost seven years. Our builders have been amazing at keeping to a very tight schedule so that we can open these new facilities at the beginning of 2027. It is wonderful to think how these facilities will make a difference in the learning experience of our students both now and in the decades to come. Students are looking forward to experiencing these new facilities and they are particularly excited for the new oval.
Our top floor is being prepared for the near arrival of its steel structure which will then be followed by installation of the roof, façade and windows. We have been very blessed with the favourable dry weather throughout the build but it will be a significant milestone to complete this component of the build. The oval is also taking shape. The large sandstone retaining wall is complete at the southern end of the oval with sprinkler systems installed and fresh turf laid out.
We are grateful to God for his provision of these facilities and acknowledge that we are blessed to be opening them up to our students to enjoy. Our Central Office staff have been working exceptionally hard to ensure that every detail of this build is considered for the benefit of our students. It is an exciting time for St Philip’s Christian College Gosford.
