St Philip's Fair Highlights

Our St Philip’s Fair was epic! Thank you to all those who came to our Fair last Friday, it was certainly a night to remember. After a drizzly start to the day, the sun came out and the weather was perfect. Our Senior School oval was the perfect backdrop for our record crowds, with lots of our food trucks and attractions being total sell-outs. Topping off the event with our amazing fireworks display resulted in lots of happy faces…so much fun was had by all. There was a wonderful sense of community, something we have missed the past few years.

So, THANK YOU! Thank you to our PTF for their contribution to making this day the success that it was. Thank you to our school community; for all the wonderful parents who volunteered, made things, purchased things, or baked things. For those parents who brought their children to perform as part of our entertainment line-up, thank you. For all of our visitors and vendors who were in attendance, we thank you too. Finally, thank you to our SPCC staff for the role each and every one of you played on the day and in the lead-up to the event. We are already looking forward to the St Philip’s Fair in 2023.

There has been a few tears, a few laughs, a few nerves about the upcoming exams, and there was also a sense of excitement about beginning the next chapter of their lives. We are very proud of Year 12, they have changed our College community for the better, and we also believe that they too have been changed for the better by our College community. Year 12, God loves you and so do we all at St Philip’s Christian College.

Little House Celebration

Recreating the Hat Throw

As we prepare to farewell The Little House, we have been looking through the archives for photos and memories of this special building.

One of the treasures that we found was a photo from 1996 of students throwing their hats up into the air at the front of The Little House. It’s such a joyous photo that we decided to recreate it with our current Junior School students.

Check out our little video below for an insight into wrangling over 200 students on a windy day!
