Midford: Our Supplier

About Midford

Midford was selected as SPCC's new uniform partner following a thorough process. With over 70 years as Australia's leading school wear brand, Midford has run on-campus uniform shops at schools comparable to St Philip's Christian Education since the 1990s. Midford places strong emphasis on ethical sourcing, safe working conditions and responsible manufacturing, and commitment to quality control. As part of the Georges Apparel group, Midford also partners with QIMA and follows an Ethical Sourcing Code setting minimum standards across its factories. This commitment to quality and responsible production reflects St Philip's Christian Education's own goals of offering uniforms that are ethically made and built to last.

Designed in Partnership with Jane Parker

The new SPCC academic uniform was developed with Midford under the creative guidance of acclaimed Australian designer Jane Parker.

As one of the creative forces behind the iconic Country Road brand, Jane helped define an unmistakably Australian approach to design, one that values quality, simplicity and enduring style.

Drawing on decades of experience in fashion design and brand development, Jane worked with Midford and SPCC to create a collection that honours our heritage, tells the story of our students’ journey and reflects the excellence and professionalism of our organisation.

The result is a uniform that is contemporary yet timeless, practical yet distinctive, and designed to serve our students well for many years to come.

The New Operators of the St Philip's Christian Education Uniform Shops

As our new uniform supply partner, Midford provides reliable point-of-sale and stock management systems for our families.

Beyond quality garment-making, Midford is equally invested in delivering quality customer service in its uniform stores. Considerable time goes into staff training, supported by Area Managers who visit stores regularly to carry out in-store assessments. This ensures Midford staff understand what's expected of them and continue to run a first-class retail operation. The store manager and team are committed to reflecting the values of St Philip's Christian Education and becoming part of our learning communities. Teams are committed to making every family feel welcome and well looked after in each store.

Alongside its physical shops, Midford offers a modern online uniform store, giving parents a convenient and secure way to view their child's school uniform whenever suits them.

Working Conditions and Factory Accreditation

Working Conditions

Midford is committed to ensuring fair working conditions for all outworkers. They only partner with suppliers, contractors, and business partners who uphold strict standards around child labour, minimum wages, and quality and process control.

Ethical Sourcing and Factory Accreditation

Ethical sourcing is something Midford takes seriously, and they recognise that customers place increasing importance on transparency throughout the supply chain. Social accountability is a key part of their sourcing strategy, helping to ensure better quality products, and demonstrate the values we uphold at St Philip's Christian Education. Under Georges Apparel, Midford have partnered with QIMA to establish an Ethical Sourcing Code, supported by an ongoing audit program to monitor compliance.
