School Development

Spcc Port Stephens 0001

St Philip's Christian College Port Stephens has numerous building projects in development in 2017

Port Stephens

The Port Stephens Campus has seen rapid growth over the twenty one years of its existence. This has necessitated campus development to provide a safe, comfortable and challenging environment for all students.

In early 2015 development in the Senior School area was completed. This included a modular building for use by our Middle School and Senior School students. This building incorporates a new middle school class room, senior school classroom, 2 science labs, teaching staff office and a Year 12 common room. In addition to the class rooms, the areas around this building have also been improved and have allowed for a great social area for the year 11 and 12 students.

Other improvements and developments to the Campus have included:
Performing Arts Centre: This project provides a 340 seat tiered theatre with a fully equipped stage, foyer and change facilities. This was extended in 2012 to include new piano music rooms, a recording studio, sound proof tuition cubicles and a drama room.  The Theatre was renamed on 9th October 2013 in memory of our Founding Principal Mr. Chris Walkling.

Trade Training Centre - This facility enables the College to offer Electrotechnology vocational education options.

Playground Equipment for Junior School: New Playground Equipment has been established in Junior School to enhance the play facilities for K – 4.

Senior School – A new senior school is being designed for our Port Stephens School which will adequately house our growing number of senior school students and include state-of-the-art specialised facilities and integrated technology. Proposed handover late 2017

Entry/Carpark – Development Application approval is being sought for a new carpark and entrance to our Port Stephens School. Proposed handover for this development is mid 2017.
