Computer education has always been a dynamic part of the St Philip’s Christian College Port Stephens curriculum, providing a technology-rich, collaborative environment.
The College has up- to-date
computer facilities available to all students in classrooms, computer Labs (4),
and in the College Library. The computers are connected to the College’s
high-bandwidth backbone and use our high-speed Internet facilities. They have
Microsoft Office for the preparation of assignments and students may laser
print their work.
All students in Middle and Senior School have access to the Internet, and all students in Junior School have access to computers within the classroom using 3 Pod’s of MacBooks, in the Junior School Lab containing 26 Desktops, as well as other centres around the College. The establishment of an extensive Wireless Network allows for ready access across the whole campus.
Through the Port Stephens Portal, the SPCC website provides access for the College community to utilise information outside of school hours.
