For the Whole of Their Life.

Beyond the Classroom

In our endeavour to develop the whole child we have a range of activities available for our students to access outside of the class room.

SPORT

Students have many opportunities to participate in cocurricular sporting activities in Junior School.
Students 8 years old (in Year 2) and above may seek selection to represent the school at Hunter Region Independent Schools (HRIS) level for Athletics, Swimming and Cross Country.
Stage Two (Years 3 and 4) students may seek selection at HRIS level soccer and netball.
Stage Two students may seek selection at HRIS level tennis.
Stage Two students may seek selection at the HRIS Public Speaking competition.
All students in Junior School may seek selection at the HRIS chess tournament.

MUSIC

Students may make application to enrol in our school music program. This program allows children to begin learning a musical instrument for 6 months free of charge, with a subsidised continuation of the chosen instrument for as long as they remain committed to the groups and ensembles they are expected to participate in.
The school has a number of music tutors available to provide lessons during school hours.

MUSICALS

All students from Kindergarten to Year 4 participate in a Junior School Musical production on alternate years. These musicals are either a published musical production or a school developed drama and musical presentation.

CLUBS

A mixed age extra-curricular program we call CLUBS runs for the duration of term three on the alternate years to musicals. This program allows students from Kindergarten to Year 4 to participate together in activities that would not normally be available to them. Activities such as robotics, make-up and hair styles, cooking, camping skills, mountain biking, fishing, hiking have been available to name but a few.

LUNCH CLUBS

We have an ever-growing array of break time clubs for our Junior School students to participate in. Chess (for beginners and proficient players), Bible study (KYB – Know Your Bible), gardening, KWAM (a K–4 ministry team who perform at preschools and nursing homes in the local community) and Christmas craft.
