GRADUATE STORY Introducing Natalie Sharpe (nee Edwards) - Class of 2006

Natalie

After finishing school, I was accepted into Nutrition and Dietetics at University but I deferred with the intention to travel for a year prior to starting study.

In 2007 I moved to the UK and worked for Girl Guides UK teaching outdoor activities: Rock Climbing, Archery, Kayaking etc.

After returning to Australia I completed a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Newcastle. I then began work on developing a cook book with Sanitarium Health Food Company and started my own blog The Natural Kitchen.

During 2013-2014 I worked at Hunter Medical Research Institute where I developed a cooking program for the Department of Veterans’ Affairs and worked with the World Health Organisation to produce a public health report on Ageing in the Western Pacific Region.

During this time, I also turned The Natural Kitchen into a company producing online meal plans and worked remotely from the UK for 9 months.

In 2015 I was offered a job opportunity back in Australia.

I moved home to take on a job as Managing Dietitian of Healthy Fast Food Chain Oliver’s Real Food.
