Every year, St Philip’s Christian College Port Stephens offers a range of Scholarships which enhance diversity in our student base and promote family accessibility to the School.

The following Scholarships are offered to students seeking a place at St Philip’s Christian College Port Stephens.

ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS - Available for students entering Year 7, Year 9 and Year 11 in 2024.

MUSIC SCHOLARSHIPS - Available for students entering Year 7, Year 9 and Year 11 in 2024.

ELITE ATHLETE SCHOLARSHIPS - Available for students entering Year 7, Year 9 and Year 11 in 2024.

GENERAL EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIPS - Available for students entering Year 7, Year 9 and Year 11 in 2024.

Step 1:

How do I apply?

All prospective applicants for 2024 Scholarships please download and complete the relevant application form from this page. This ‘Supplemental Scholarship Application Form’ must be submitted prior to 6 February 2023.

Step 2:

Register for ACER test

For the Academic & General Excellence Scholarships students are expected to complete the ACER Academic Scholarship Examination. To register for this Examination visit https://www.acer.org/au/schola...

This registration must be submitted no later than midnight AEDST 6 February 2023. Late registrations will be accepted at an additional cost.The ACER Academic Scholarship Examination will be held at the School on Saturday, 25 February 2023 commencing at 9:00am.

ACER EXAMINATION REGISTRATION FEE

An registration fee is required to be paid online directly to ACER (Australian Council of Education Research).

Step 3:

Interviews

Interviews will be arranged with candidates.

Step 4:

Scholarships Offered

The Scholarship candidates will be selected based on the assessment of the following criteria where appropriate:

  • ACER Scholarship Examination results (Academic & General Excellence Scholarships only)
  • Supplementary information
  • Audition (Music Scholarship only)
  • Interview

Scholarships are awarded at the discretion of the School and the School’s decision is final.

All Scholarship holders are expected to display academic progress commensurate with their ability and to take a full and constructive part in the life of the School in the areas of their interests, aptitudes and abilities.

Eligibility

Applications are invited from current students and students not currently enrolled at St Philip’s Christian College Port Stephens. Every student, regardless of the Scholarship that they are applying for must complete the appropriate application form.

St Philip’s Christian College Scholarships are only available to Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents.
