Middle School at St Philip’s Christian College Newcastle is dedicated to providing learning experiences that are engaging, developmentally appropriate and suitably challenging for students aged 10 to 14 years.
After a number of years of careful exploration, Middle School commenced in 2001 with the aim of creating a sub-school that would give intentional focus to the distinct needs of students in Years 5 to 8.
The Middle School has grown from strength to strength and is now an established and unique feature of St Philip’s dedicated to providing learning experiences that are engaging, developmentally appropriate and suitably challenging for students aged 10 to 14 years.
Middle School homeroom teachers provide care and guidance to students as they transition from childhood to early adolescence.
St Philip's Christian College Middle School offers individualised learning frameworks, innovative and engaging learning spaces and opportunities for students to excel in the whole of their life by opening pathways in the areas of academic excellence, information technology, music, creative and performing arts, sport and vocational education.
