Maintenance Officer

  • 2 x Permanent Full Time Positions (willingness to consider Part Time if preferred)

St Philip’s Christian College, Newcastle is seeking dedicated, dynamic, and passionate Christians to join our Maintenance Team.

As an experienced Maintenance Officer, you will work as part of a team to ensure that the College grounds, buildings, plant and equipment are well maintained, well presented, physically secure, compliant with all appropriate regulations and provide a safe environment for the College community.

This is a hands-on position that will require the successful candidate to be fit and healthy in order to meet the physical demands of the role.

The successful applicant will be strongly aligned to the values of the College and demonstrate these essential attributes:

  • The ability to work collaboratively and respectfully as part of a team or autonomously when required
  • Enthusiastic and hardworking, with a commitment to get the job done
  • The willingness to follow instruction
  • The ability to respond flexibly to the dynamic nature of the College environment
  • Sound communication skills and have the ability to communicate effectively with leaders, staff, students and the broader community
  • Computer literacy, including intermediate ability in Microsoft Office
  • A positive attitude, and a professional and pleasant manner at all times
  • Previous trade or maintenance experience is highly desirable
  • A current NSW Working with Children Check
