This year will be an exciting year for our organisation. St Philip’s Christian College celebrates 40 years of offering whole of life education to students in the Hunter region. More specifically, Gosford St Philip’s celebrates 15 years of Christian education to the Central Coast. In looking back, we are excited to see how God has grown the College over the years and what he has planned for the future. In particular, plans and preparation continues for our new Senior School Building, while we are also starting a new bus service for students in Berowra to attend the College.

Each year we have a theme that we focus on as an organisation. This year we are focusing on ‘thankfulness’. Considering the celebrations that will be taking place this year I feel it is a very appropriate theme to focus on. The supporting verse from the Bible is from Colossians 3:16-17 which states:

16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. 17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

I am humbled by the opportunity to serve the College as Principal in this season and am looking forward to serving the staff, students and parents in this new capacity for the start of the year.
