How can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"
We Matter to Him
As a part of our Christian Life Studies classes, the students are exposed to a variety of service opportunities. These range from supporting the College in working bees and peer support for Junior School students, through to going to retirement villages and talking to the residents or playing music for them.
M.A.D Week (Making A Difference - Year 10)
Towards the end of the school year, the Year 10 students are involved in a week of activities that are designed to make a difference in their own lives, as well as in the lives of others. Some of the experiences include a visit to play sport at the Kariong Juvenile Detention Centre, serving meals at the Coast Shelter, playing games with students from a special needs school and visiting a local retirement village.
Schoolies Alternative Trip - Vanuatu (Year 12)
At the conclusion of Year 12, many of our students nominate to go on the "Schoolies Alternative Trip" to Vanuatu. The College partners with an organisation called Liberty for the Nations and serves the local community in Vanuatu. The students go and teach in the local school, are involved in local church services and assist on building projects to help transform the community. The students often come back with a greater perspective on life and many return to Vanuatu with their own family in subsequent years as the experience had made such a significant impact.
