Five new after school classes for Senior School

Five new after school classes have been introduced for Years 10, 11 and 12.

Information and Digital Technology

Mr Tim Ashby runs an online course for Years 10 and 11. Students from other schools can also join online . Students have the opportunity to complete their Certificate III over 3 years.

Outdoor Recreation

Mr Mark Watson is teaching the Certificate II in Outdoor Recreation course. This gives students a a tertiary qualification in the outdoor recreation field.

Early Childhood Education and Care

Mrs Heidi Muddle started teaching a new group of Year 10 students, as well as a continuing group of Year 12 students in the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care course. Students can achieve a childcare qualification as part of their HSC studies, leaving school as a fully trained childcare worker. Today they worked with our new Kindergarten students and will complete some of their practical work at NARNIA.

Education Support

Mrs Deb Schembri is overseeing a group of Year 11 students who have begun a school-based traineeship in Education Support. These students are employed as staff members of St Philip's Christian College Gosford while they study this course, setting them up to work as a Teacher's Aide, all while completing their senior studies and HSC.

Engineering Studies

Mr Jacob Strickling is leading a new initiative between SPCC Gosford and Central Coast Adventist School. The Year 11 Engineering Studies course runs on Wednesday afternoons at the Adventist School.
