For the Whole of Their Life.
Nestled in the picturesque natural setting of the Narara valley, St Philip's Christian College Gosford provides Christian Education to over 500 students from Preschool to Year 12 in a nurturing and supportive environment.
St Philips Christian College, Gosford was acquired in 2007 and has an enrolment of over 550 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. The campus is located centrally just north of Gosford City against the background of a beautiful bush land setting.
St Philip’s Christian College, Gosford could be described as a ‘turnaround school’. When St Philip’s acquired it in 2007 it was in significant difficulty with a poor reputation and declining numbers. Now the school enjoys a good reputation and numbers have increased from a low of 303 to its current enrolment of 580.
The mission of the College is to continue to provide quality education in a caring, secure and challenging learning environment based on Christian beliefs, values and practice. The five core values of the College are: Christ First, Serve One Another, Strive for Excellence, Do what is Right and Build Community. The College seeks to acknowledge the potential and uniqueness of each student and aims to provide opportunities for intellectual, social, cultural, moral, spiritual and physical development which will stand our students in good stead for the whole of their life.
At SPCC, we believe that Christian Education is not education about Christianity but a wholistic education delivered from a Christian perspective. All our teachers are Christians, and a Christian worldview intentionally permeates all that we do. Our school provides an environment where respect and excellence are encouraged, along with a desire to see students enjoying the learning process and school life. Our school provides an environment where respect and excellence are encouraged, along with a desire to see students enjoying the learning process and school life.
The College is passionate about the pursuit of excellence in all areas, particularly academic achievement, performing arts, sport and Christian lifestyle. To facilitate this, the College is divided into 3 sub-schools; Junior School, which supports children in their foundation years of schooling by providing a creative and nurturing environment, Middle School, which focuses on meeting the needs of emerging adolescents by developing confident and resilient young people who enjoy life's journey and achieve their unique God-given potential in all areas, and Senior School, which assists students in finishing strong, and stepping into the future with the passion, motivation and ability to make a difference in the world.
Throughout the College we have created flexible learning spaces, which facilitate effective team teaching, and increase student engagement and enthusiasm for learning.
The Gosford College is nestled in a very picturesque natural setting in the Narara valley that provides a very soothing and supportive environment where we provide Christian Education to over 550 students from Preschool to Year 12. Our International Student program provides an opportunity for our students to gain a truly ‘global’ education as they learn beside students from many nations and establish lifelong friendships.
At Gosford, as with all the St Philip's schools, we strive to work in partnership with the parents of our students to enable them to fulfill their responsibilities to provide young men and women with the knowledge and skills they need to realize their God given potential in every aspect of their lives and to become productive members of their community.
Our Vision is:
- To enable students to find meaning and fulfillment in their Christian faith.
- To build Christian values into our students so they will be seen as exemplary in manner, attitude and example.
- To provide a Christian centered education to students of any race or ethnicity.
- To provide a supportive and loving environment in which students' individual gifting can be recognized and developed.
- To facilitate the highest possible levels of educational achievement for each student according to their individual gifting.
- For each student to be encouraged to value and recognize the gifts and talents of each other and to support the development of these giftings.
- To develop in students the desire for learning and to understand that learning is a life long experience.

Meet the Principal
Great results, attractive and flexible spaces, up to date technology and best practice based on current academic research are important to us; but more important than that, is unlocking the unique God-given potential in every child to lead a life of passion and purpose in whatever pursuits they choose.
