SPCC learning environments award winners at the MBA awards in Newcastle
Two learning environment developments within the St Philip’s Christian College group of schools, constructed by North Buildings & Construction, have received awards at the 2019 MBA Excellence in Building Awards.
The Early Learning and Junior School development at SPCC Newcastle took out two categories, Extensions, Renovations & Refurbishments and Restoration of an Historic Building.
The Activate Centre at SPCC Cessnock took out top spot in the Public Buildings category.
Both developments were outworked by a team which included SPCC Executive Principal Mr Graeme Irwin, Building Services Manager Mr Graham Searle, College Architect Mr Ian Easton, along with SHAC Architects and North Construction & Building.
Managing director of North Construction & Building, Mathew Cook, was thrilled with the accomplishment, "Our success at the Newcastle MBA awards is something we're immensely proud of. Receiving recognition from the peak building industry body in our region supports our claims of consistency, quality and professionalism.”
Along with the three awards for construction at St Philip’s Christian College, North went on to receive another five awards.
One of the five core values of St Philip’s Christian College is ‘Strive for Excellence’, and we endeavour to outwork this in every area of our organisation. We are committed to providing the best possible learning environments for our students, environments that provide numerous possibilities for flexible learning and help our students to engage and thrive in their learning.
