Junior ICT Technician

An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate committed Christian to join our ICT Services Team.

The Junior ICT Technician is part of St. Philip's Christian Education Foundation Ltd’s ICT Services Department and is based within our Newcastle, DALE Newcastle & DALE Young Parents Newcastle schools. This position comes under the direction of the ICT Customer Service Lead (South). The Junior ICT Technician will be required to perform, under supervision, a range of technical tasks.

The essentials you’ll need:

  • A committed Christian actively involved in a local church
  • Have completed or working towards completion of a Certificate IV in Information Technology or higher certification.
  • Alternatively, a willingness to enter and qualify for an IT Traineeship.
  • Ability to provide technical support to end users in a non-technological manner, assisting these users with the adoption of existing and new technologies.
  • A technical knowledge or understanding of Windows, Mac OS and iOS operating systems
  • A strong desire to learn with the ability to research and understand new ICT technologies and apply these in the context of the school environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Other valuable skills you may have:

  • The ability to listen and interpret the needs of non-technical staff and students; and respond accordingly
