Meet Our Employee of the Month: Katrina Van Vorst

St Philip’s Christian College Cessnock believes in honouring and uplifting our amazing staff. We don’t want to brag, but we think that we have one of the best teams in the world. Once a month, we run a staff-nominated ‘Employee of the Month’ where staff are encouraged to nominate two employees who they believe uphold the College values, as go above and beyond to make St Philip’s Christian College Cessnock a better place for our community. We are excited to talk to you about one of our Employees of the Month: Katrina Van Vorst

Katrina started at St Philip’s Christian College Cessnock six years ago! Originally popping her resume into the office in the hopes of working at the College, the College instantly recognised her hard-working attitude, positivity and ability to streamline the hardest of procedures right away — and the rest is history!

Katrina is the Curriculum Administrator for K-12. Ever wonder who the person behind the organisation of NAPLAN and the roll out of your child’s report is? That’s all Katrina! Katrina works her way through high level tasks with tenacity, exceptional time management and a contagiously great attitude.

Katrina is exceptional at problem solving and a catalyst to smoother running systems within the College — she takes problems and streamlines them into something that works seamlessly.

As the College continues to grow, Katrina is excited to experience the growth and change that will come with her role. She is particularly excited about aiding our current Year 12 in their HSC; setting them up for success.

We are extremely thankful for everything that Katrina does for St Philip’s Christian College Cessnock and it’s an honour to announce her as Employee of the Month.
