You Might Recognise Our New Acting Deputy Principal: Congratulations Mrs Margaret Pond

Margaret Pond's wisdom, experience and warmth bring Junior School to life. Margaret has a clear sense of purpose that is firmly rooted in the College's 'Whole of Life' vision. This is evident in everything that she says and does.

With 20 years of experience at St Philip's Christian College, 15 of which have been spent here at Cessnock — we cannot think of anyone who better represents and understands our College vision and values. That is why, with great excitement we announce her appointment as the Acting Deputy Principal for 2021.

As a high-performing and capable leader, Margaret will continue as Head of Junior School whilst undertaking this role, assisted by Karinne Cooke as Junior School Coordinator (Operations and Pastoral Care), and Bec Johnson as Junior School Coordinator (Teaching and Learning). As a strategic thinker, who understands the small details, whilst keeping her sights on the bigger picture, we know that she will do exceptionally well as she leads the wider college community.
