Meet Our Employee of the Month: Linda Lombardo

St Philip’s Christian College Cessnock believes in honouring and uplifting our amazing staff. We don’t want to brag, but we think that we have one of the best teams in the world. Once a month, we run a staff-nominated ‘Employee of the Month’, where staff are encouraged to nominate two employees who they believe uphold the College values, as well as go above and beyond to make St Philip’s Christian College Cessnock a better place for our community. We are excited to talk to you about one of our Employees of the Month: Linda Lombardo

Having started at the College last year, Linda has quickly become a significant and wonderful part of our Senior School. As our Senior School receptionist, she is often one of the first faces our students see each morning; and every single morning they are met with kindness and a positive attitude. No matter the situation or how much work there is to be done — you will still find Linda calm, patient and always thinking of others.

We love the attitude Linda applies to working with the staff and students of our Senior School. One of her favourite parts about her role at the College, is seeing the smiling faces of students as they arrive to class. She is incredibly passionate about seeing young people thrive at our College. She is inspired by how our students navigate the challenges they face with resilience and positive attitudes, and we know that the support she provides for students every day helps them to overcome the challenges in front of them.

Linda loves working at St Philip’s, and loves the supportive and gracious culture that our staff carry. We know that Linda is a huge contributor to this culture — just ask any of our Senior School Teachers or Administration Staff! We are extremely thankful for everything that Linda does for St Philip’s Christian College Cessnock and it’s an honour to announce her as Employee of the Month for March 2022.
