Meet our Employee of the Month: Jason Hamilton
St Philip’s Christian College Cessnock believes in honouring and uplifting our amazing staff. We don’t want to brag, but we think that we have one of the best teams in the world. Once a month, we run a staff-nominated ‘Employee of the Month’ where staff are encouraged to nominate two employees who they believe uphold the College values, as well as go above and beyond to make St Philip’s Christian College Cessnock a better place for our community. We are excited to talk to you about one of our Employees of the Month: Jason Hamilton!
How long has Jason Hamilton worked here? Long enough that when asked he couldn’t remember — though, he thinks around nine years. What initially attracted Jason to St Philip’s Christian College Cessnock was the great Christian education and great involvement in the community. And when we now think about the cultivating of positive relationships within the community, we can’t help but think of Jason Hamilton! Whether it be with Bunnings to help our students make billy carts, or with Woolworths to ensure that our students know how to eat healthy — Jason has partnered with them! His warm, vibrant personality is infectious in the community.
As a Junior School PE teacher, Jason loves getting to see the smiles on the students faces everyday — and the exciting opportunities and moments that he gets to spend with them. His favourite thing is creating smiles, and we might be bias but we think that he’s exceptional at it.
A new initiative that Jason is currently working on is trying to engage the boys that struggle at school in their own social ways and show the love of Jesus to everyone every day. Speaking into other’s lives and being supportive in any way possible.
We are extremely thankful for everything that Jason does for St Philip’s Christian College Cessnock and it’s an honour to announce him as Employee of the Month for May 2021.
