Year 9 Mathematics Plus

Mathematics Plus provides you with opportunities to push yourself further. It is not a 'do more of the same thing' elective, it is an elective where you get to explore mathematics in new areas — areas that you do not study in other courses or in other years. The course will help you with problem solving, enable you to broaden your knowledge of and connection between topics and allow you to investigate areas of mathematics that interest you.
In the Year 9 course, students will have a combination of structured topics and a self-interest project. Examples of topics are:
