Innovation and Technology
This elective will apply knowledge and skills in science, engineering, mathematics, technology, and art to complete a variety of projects that reflect the student’s interest. These could include use of technology to solve problems through a mechanical rover or LEGO Mindstorms, creation of aerodynamic vehicles in a F1 challenge, use of renewable energy and circuits to power cars and homes and use of different coding techniques to enable circuit boards to complete specific tasks.
Students involved with this elective will engage in the process of questioning, imagining, collaborating, planning, experimenting, reflecting, and finally creating to develop the ability to meet achievable outcomes in a lesson and gain transferrable skills for the future.

This subject allows students to develop their problem solving and creativity skills to create products that respond to real world problems and demands. Integrating elements of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, this subject allows students to develop unique projects using a variety of skills and knowledge including programming.
