Empowering Kids 2009Tuesday 17th March 2009 What an amazing day we had last Wednesday at Metford Community Baptist Church!
Over 740 primary school students from Christian schools all over Newcastle and the Hunter joined together for a day of unity and growing in their faith. Seth Drury and Amy Swayne led a band which had all of us on our feet and jumping for joy as we praised and worshipped together. Our guest speakers, Nathan Maclean (Kids’ pastor at Hillsong Church), and Rick George (the Bible Society) gave inspiring messages which at times also amazed us (Bibles which flamed up when opened, power drills used to drill tomatoes!!!). Many young lives were impacted positively and the size of the crowd certainly encouraged us to know that we are all together in unity in Christian schooling – our purpose is one!!
