Middle School Swimming

What a welcome initiative to our College to have life saving taught to all of Middle School each Wednesday morning. Students are being taught a range of rescue techniques which do not even involve swimming and so whether students are good swimmers or not there is much that they can learn.

The good news is that the Cessnock pool is now heated to 25 degrees and so when we had that cool day last week our swimming was able to carry on.

Some parents obviously thought that it was going to be too cold for swimming and so allowed their students not to bring their swimmers. Please try and encourage your students to be involved in every session. Our life saving sessions are part of our students’ assessment tasks for PD.H.PE and so it is vital to have students participating.
