St Philip’s Christian College Gosford – Barbershop Quartet Winners!Wednesday 3rd September 2008 The St Philip’s Gosford Campus sent its Senior Barbershop Quartet to Queensland recently to participate in the Australian Association of Men Barbershop Singers – Sunshine Region Chorus and Quartet Competition. This is the only competition of its kind in 2008. It hosted many chorus’ and pitched the Gosford group against some of Australia’s finest quartets.
The boys returned with certificates, medals, prize money and the title of National Schools champions till October of next year (2009 AAMBS National competition in Hobart).
In all they had a fantastic weekend of great weather, excellent results and experiences that will last them a lifetime. Congratulations to Giacomo DeMartin, Samuel Meredith, David Simes, Jonathan Adams, and a special thanks to their support team of Mr. Roy Meredith and teacher Mr. Jon Baldwin for their guidance and support.
